Your first stock count

Open a session, scan with your phone's camera, and add units without touching the screen.

1. 01

   Open a count session

   Go to Counts and tap “New session”. Give it a name you'll recognize later, for example “Warehouse A” or “Storefront window”. Each session is an independent count: you can keep several open at once.

2. 02

   Scan the first product

   Point the camera at the barcode on the box or product. As soon as it's recognized, it adds one unit and vibrates. You don't need to touch the screen between scans: just keep pointing at the codes.

3. 03

   Add several units at once

   If you have a case of 12, you can scan the case barcode: Tapfy knows that code is worth 12 units and adds them all at once. Codes and their multipliers are set up in the Catalog.

4. 04

   Check the live total

   At the top you can see how many units you've counted and how many different products you've scanned. If you made a mistake, you can subtract or fix the quantity of any code from the list.

5. 05

   Close the session

   When you're done, close the session. It's saved with its date, and you can then compare it against Shopify or export it to Excel.
