Labels and codes

Generate and print labels (thermal and A4)

Create barcodes for your products and print them on a thermal printer or an A4 sheet.

4 steps · about 5 min

  1. 01

    Choose the products

In the Catalog, select the products you want to generate a label for. Each label carries the barcode and the text you choose (name, size, color, or SKU).

  2. 02

    Generate the codes

If a product doesn't have a code yet, Tapfy generates an internal one (Code 128) that you can then scan. The ones that already come from Shopify are kept as is.

  3. 03

    Choose the print format

For a thermal printer (Zebra, rolls of 40×30, 50×30, etc.), choose the label size in millimeters: Tapfy builds the sheet so each label comes out at the exact size. For a plain sheet, use the A4 format with the label grid.

  4. 04

    Print

Tap Print. On thermal, set your printer's paper size to match the label. On A4, print at 100% (without “fit to page”) so the codes keep their proportions and scan clearly.

Good to know

Tip: print a test label and scan it with a count itself before running the whole batch.
